Why in the world is it split up like that? You keep having to scroll back up to the top to get to the stuff you want, and it's not at all clear that gameplay information is going to be under a section called "VC4." It makes sense for character like Selvaria that appear in multiple games, I guess, but what's the point of having it there? It's not like they're real tabs, it has to load a whole new page every time you click on one of them.
Like I get it for galleries and quotes sections, but people probably want to see the unit's stats on the page for a unit rather than having to go find them, especially on the Squad E member pages.
I mean isn't this functionality already provided by the page having a table of contents?
Probably since they only have this single appearance in the game, it can be changed to gameplay to avoid the confusion. This is to make the pages consistent with the other character pages. The character page is to contain elements pertaining to the character, story-wise; while the gameplay page contains all facets of the gameplay elements and so on.
Eh, but with the basic Squad E characters there really isn't a huge amount to say about them, you end up with five stubs instead of a nice big fleshed-out article that has everything people want in one place.
And I really don't get the point of an appearance section when there's a picture of her right there.
Also I'm editing an old revision so it's going to restore all that other stuff, that's because last time I tried editing the current revision I got an edit conflict that turned my entire edit into bare HTML. Which is always fun.
I don't know about that, the Valkyria Chronicles 3 artbook release showed there was a plethora of information available for those characters we previously had no information for so I will wait and see for the artbook release for this game as well. For the sake of consistency, those character pages will be treated like the rest of the character pages granted there is reason to provide an exception to that page treatment.
I think an appearance section is essential for the visually impaired. They might not be able to see the image but at least they can have it described to them by the audio assistant reading the text for them.
That's fine, I didn't know you were editing at the time so my apologies for that. I can always format it back to how it should be formatted.
I think the section called "Notes" belongs on the gameplay page rather than as "Trivia" on the main page, because it's all information about her as a unit.
I'm not too sure about using website quotes: usually, the website is written by the game's publisher rather than the developers, and can contain errors from miscommunication.
The reason the DLC section on her as a boss is sectioned off from the section about her in the main game is she doesn't work the same way in the DLC. That part's specifically about the version you face when playing the DLC as Selvaria.
Should I add anything about A Captainless Squad to the story section? It's a goofy little story about Ragnarok trying to steal Fenrir's food, and doesn't seem to have actually happened since IIRC Crymaria doesn't recognise Rags when she sees him in Kosvall.
For Fina Sellers I think it needs to be split and have a character article "Medic" for VC1 because "Medic" is specifically said to be Fina, Mina and Gina Sellers, not just Fina. At the moment the entry for Medic in the VC1 squad template just links to the article for Fina.
And sure the publisher's an official source, I just don't think it's quite as good a source as the summary of her that's actually in the game?
Yeah, I mean that's why I had that there in a blockquote as "profile," it's what I've been doing with pages I've built where there's a personnel or glossary entry since it's usually a good opening summary.
I think having multiple official sources is more of a good thing. Comparisons can be made with several sources and recurring information can be easily articulated upon without wanton confusion. The more information about a particular topic, the better. If there is a clear point of contention in the topic, then discussions can be made pertaining to that.
In the case of "that" profile, an excerpt of it is provided in the page if those quotes are lacking.
There's been two female Aces, I think: Nora the Tigress, a Lancer in VC1, and there's an Ace in VC4 called Ette of the Icefield. That one's a tank, but Ette is a woman's name in every language I can find where it is a name.
