The Tech Veteran is a 2nd-tier class exclusive to Valkyria Chronicles 2 and Valkyria Chronicles 3. In both games, they can be promoted from Armored Techs.
Valkyria Chronicles 2[]
In VC2, Tech Veterans appear as 2nd-tier units of the Armored Tech Class Tree. They can be promoted to either Tech Elites (that can place anti-tank mines) or Special Techs (that can throw flash-bang grenades).
Their main advantages over their predecessors is their ability to place relatively weak anti-infantry mines (on top of clearing mines) and their use of ragnaid. Otherwise, they are functionally identical to Armored Techs except for their increased stats.

Valkyria Chronicles 3[]
In VC3, Tech Veterans are identical to Armored Techs and Tech Elites in all ways except for their HP and evasion stats; they also lose the ability to place anti-infantry mines and use ragnaid.
