Solitary Zahl is a Sniper Elite Ace found in Valkyria Chronicles 4. He appears in the first mission of A Captainless Squad DLC, A Sleuth of Bears.
Gameplay[]
True to his name, Solitary Zahl is hiding by himself in the corner between some trucks and the indestructible wall that separates his location and Squad E's base camp. The only way to find him is to loop around the map towards the escape point, then take a right instead of left toward the parked trucks.
From there, he can be easily handled via surprise attack from Connor, or can be attacked head on as he's unlikely to dodge an attack.
Defeating him is required in order to reach the final map of the DLC.

Defeating him rewards the player with the ZM SG XD(e), an Imperial anti-tank rifle that has significantly less range and vsPersonnel attack power along with less accuracy compared to the rifle he carries, but has four times the vsArmor attack power.
This can only be used by Sniper Elites, and is one of the few sniper rifles that can use interception fire against tanks.
