Pistols (VC3)

Pistols are the main weapons of the Engineer class and its sub-classes.

Although their official ranges (and thus interception range) are quite small compared to most other weapons, pistol bullet do not disappear out of their stated ranges, but rather keep going to cause damage, albeit with damage reduced (aka damage dropoff) the further it goes. This applies for all weapons, but pistol damage dropoff is so small that they can noticeably damage targets far out of their official ranges, which can be further enhanced with anti-personnel boosts from potentials and orders.

This makes pistol well-suited for offensive purposes.
