Physically Old Northern Script is a set of characters comprising of vertical, horizontal and angled strokes similar in appearance to Nordic runes.
The language, presumably known as "old Northern" in contempary Europa is a dead language lost to the majority of Europans and spoken only by a very limited number of scholars and archeologists.
Interestingly Old Northern Script was used both in everyday communication and ritualistic ceremonies by both the Valkyrur and the native Europans, it has however been shown that the Valkyrur royalty and members of the high clergy used a ceremonial variant of the script, though surviving examples are extremely rare.
