Karl Landzaat makes a non-canon appearance in Valkyria Chronicles 2 as a Class G Armored Tech and can be unlocked after you clear the game and have hospitalized an ally 10 times.

Age 23, Karl Landzaat is a Squad 7 engineer. He worked at a Fouzen ironworks until the Darcsen hunters drove him to the capital. Meek to the point of being paralyzed in the face of danger, he nonetheless chose to join the militia in hopes of a peaceful future with Lynn.

• His Head-lit Deer potential is much worse than its counterpart in VC1, rendering him unable to take any action instead of being unable to evade.
• He is able to learn Invincible as a Mauler, which is unique for Armored Techs considering that this class potential is intrinsic only to Melodists of the Engineer branch of classes. This was also his fourth potential as an Engineer in Squad 7.
