A Night-Shrouded Liberation is the fifth expert skirmish of Valkyria Chronicles 4's Expert Skirmishes DLC. This uses the same map as Chapter 12: Midnight Run. It is unlocked after the main story has been completed.

Briefing

Location: Imperial Warehouse District

Description: Capture all enemy camps to win.

Strategy

• As this uses the same map as Midnight Run, the spotlights can call in more units. Allies caught in the spotlights will be "captured", instantly moving them to a different area and spawning 2 Troopers. This also ends the current action if they are the ones being controlled. Keep clear of them by hugging the walls. The spawned units have low priority in being controlled, and as such will not usually attack, but other units may attack.
• Lancers around the map use mortar lances. Take care as these increase AP loss.
• There are only 3 camps to capture. The sewer passage in the South East corner of the map, past the first two camps, provides roof access to the area nearby the third camp.
• Camp 1 contains an Assault Tank and Trooper both aimed to the west. Go around from behind and utilize the Demolish order to quickly take care of the tank.
• Camp 2 contains a Grenadier inside the camp aimed west, and a tank to the west of the camp also aiming west. By going around, the tank can be safely ignored, and the Ace can be taken down.
• Camp 3 contains a Scout and Heavy Gatling, with a Grenadier to the left and 2 Troopers to the north. An Assault Tank and a Heavy Gatling block the southern path in, so the north path with a Scout, Trooper, Lancer captain, and Grenadier is faster.
• Imperials start with 7 CP. The locations of the leaders are:
  • Ace Scout: South East, to the East of the second camp.
  • Trooper: Slightly north of Camp 3 with another Trooper. Both are crouched on sandbags.
  • Lancer: Hidden in the North Eastern corner near a Grenadier.
