The Federation Tank is commonly known as the "Minute", these tanks made up the bulk of the Federation's tank forces. Low in cost and easy to manufacture, its model was finalized just before the outbreak of the Second Europan War. The name derives from the Minutemen: civilian soldiers in Vinland's war for independence. The gathered tanks evoked images of Vinland's amassed colonial militiamen - and to parallel their namesakes, who were said to be combat-ready at only a minute's notice, the army could assemble a great number of these tanks quickly.

Trivia[]
- The design of the Federation tank is heavily based on the US M4 Sherman medium tank, specifically the M4A1 model with its distinctive rounded hull, though with very large, raised-up drive sprockets.
- The Brown 7.62mm machine gun is an obvious reference to the Browning M1919 machine gun of the same caliber (rendered in Imperial as .30-06) used as a hull and coaxial machine gun on the Sherman.
- Despite being somewhat larger than the M4 Sherman (6 centimeters longer, 1.43 meters wider and 31 centimeters taller), the Minute manages to have a similar weight (31 tons to 30.1 tons), and can reach similar speeds to the Sherman (47 km/h to 48 km/h) with the same engine power: this suggests it is more lightly armored, or that Ragnite engines are somewhat lighter than real-life internal combustion engines.
- It has a block-shaped gun mantlet instead of the conformal mantlet that the Hafen has.
- It is named after the real-life US Minutemen from the American War for Independence.
- In the first interlude Squad E assembles a Federation tank is shown, and presumably has the same 75mm cannon as its later appearances. But the interlude takes place in 1934 while the cannon states to have first been made in 1935 (as seen by the M1935 designation).
