This is a mock battle between Squads F and E
"...It seems we were quicker in setting up our encampment. No hard feelings, Claude. The first squad to capture all the other squad's camps will be declared victorious. We'll be using non-lethal training rounds, but getting shot is still going to hurt. Soldiers who fall to gunfire are deemed KIA and must retreat. Rescues are forbidden. This may be a mock battle, but I won't be holding back - and neither should you."
Description: Defeat Squad F in mock combat by capturing all their camps. Minerva Victor will give her own orders to change their strategies on the fly, so be wary of enemy movements as you lead your team.
"Enough talk. Let's do this, Claude!"
Christel is well-positioned to give the western camp a lot of grief, being positioned too high for any Squad E Grenadier to fire back at her while also having plenty of cover blocking the western camp from firing on her. However, she is relatively easy to snipe from the Northeast building next to Squad F's alley camp; if one direct-commands a sniper into position on that building, it is easy for a sniper to take her out in one or two hits, since on your turn, she's usually facing toward your western camp and thus unaware of threats to her rear.
Although the mock battle ends in victory for Squad E, with both Squads E and F joining together to feast on the meat and bread that Squad F had bought when they first arrived in Einhemt, the so-called "Winter Witch" -- an insanely strong and early-arriving winter -- makes its first appearance in this chapter. This battle occurs circa September/October 1935 EC, months before the Federation had expected winter to arrive. This winter would strangle the Federation supply line for Operation Northern Cross and eventually lead to its defeat.
- Christel carries a modified Lenfield M3 rifle that deals significantly more damage vs personnel than the Lenfield M3 rifles other Squad F scouts carry (54 vs 20 vsPer)*
