Operation Northern Cross acts as the intro and prologue chapter to Valkyria Chronicles 4. The combat mission in this is called Engagement at Milt.
Story[]
- This chapter is where Squad E is first introduced as an elite unit of the Edinburgh Army.
- Squad E effectively used the Milt flower beds as camouflage before the battle, albeit with the Hafen being incredibly obvious on the hill they were hiding on.
Topography[]
The battlefield is a mostly open grassy flower field with a dirt road running though it. There's a footpath on the west side of the map inaccessible to vehicles, but is also blocked off by indestructible barricades. In addition, there's another dirt path that runs through the buildings of Kane's Farm.
Raz is the only unit available at the start, and starts in the SE. Allied reinforcements will also arrive in the south and SE.
