32nd Armored Ranger Corps

The 32nd Armored Ranger Corps is a ranger corps of the Edinburgh Army, under the 101st Division 1st Battle Brigade.

History

Formed around 1934 EC, the 32nd Armored Ranger Corps was the newest ranger corps formed when the Second Europan War broke out. It served as the vanguard of the Federate Army in Operation Northern Cross, instrumental in the Federation's many victories in battle, including the Battle of Siegval.

When Operation Northern Cross turned into a rout with the early 1935 winter, the corps was re-purposed to act as the ground troops for Operation Cygnus instead. Instead of retreating south with the rest of the Federate Army, the ranger corps instead headed west, crossing mountains for the coastlines of the Crystal Sea. However, before they were able to rendezvous with the reinforcements, they were ambushed by the tanks of Ausbruch. The ranger corps was decimated and lost over half of its members by the time the Cygnus Fleet arrived and forced the Ausbruch to retreat.

Following the rendezvous with the Cygnus Fleet, each regiment was assigned to the defense forces of a different snow cruiser.

Over the course of Operation Cygnus, the Comet was lost along with all hands, including the regiment assigned to it. Later on, the Cavalier would fall into an ambush from X-0 forces and lose its entire ground team.

By the time the ceasefire was signed, only the 2nd Regiment remained, with the majority of its members from Squad E, along with a handful of Squad F survivors and Squad D's commander.

Structure

The 32nd Armored Ranger Corps is organized into three regiments, which are sub-divided into platoons. Each platoon is generally comprised of infantry units of mixed classes, plus one or two support vehicles.
